My Combo Brow Experience

Last summer, I have had the great pleasure of treating myself to a semi-permanent eyebrow makeover. Since I am a girl who is extremely into makeup, I used to fill and shape my eyebrows quite often with brow gel or a brow pencil. This procedure has become very popular over the years, and I thought I would give it a try… I am so glad that I did! I have not used any makeup on my eyebrows since that day.

The “Combo Brow” is a semi-permanent pigmentation process that combines a manual shading technique with a hair stroke microblading technique. I went to Fluhme GlamBar in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania to get the procedure done. Microblade Artist Carly was extremely experienced, and nice as can be. She made me feel so relaxed and comfortable before, during, and after the procedure.

The first step is to get numb! As soon as I walked into the salon, Carly applied a topical numbing cream to both my eyebrows. I waited for about 30 min, so the cream could have an effect. The next step is to draw on the perfect brows. Carly took a colored brow pencil and string to outline my eyebrows to the shape of my liking. The third step is to actually get down to brow business. Carly then used a sharp brow shading tool attached to a machine to fill in the previously drawn outline. I was a little nervous because I am usually not so good with any type of pointy objects, but it was completely painless! I was so comfortable that I almost fell asleep. The semi-permanent makeup will last up to 1 or 2 years.

I would most definitely recommend semi-permanent eyebrow makeup to anyone who is on the fence about it, especially at Fluhme GlamBar with Carly. Other semi-permanent makeup services that are offered there include Microblading, Ombré Brows, Babyliner, Winged Liner, and Kissable Lips. They also offer touch ups and color-boosts as well. I love my new eyebrows so much, and I am certain you will too.
