Day in the Life of an On-Campus SRU Student

Unfortunately, winter break is over, but I am thrilled to be able to get back into a consistent daily routine! Consistency is key when it comes to staying motivated on a daily basis. I usually wake up between 8:30-9:00 depending on how many times I

press my snooze button in the morning.

I recommend trying to avoid going on your phone in the morning for as long as possible to allow your brain to wake up and prevent yourself from laying in bed until 3 minutes before class! Next, the coffee gets made and the face gets cleansed. My favorite cleanser right now is the Oat Cleansing Balm by The Inkey List! It has been fabulous for my dry skin and is super affordable!! Once my skin care is taken care of and my coffee is ready to go, it is the dreadful time of my online classes for the day, but hey it needs to get done and better times are to come. I also normally make some avocado toast for breakfast. I have been making that for breakfast for close to a year and I am still not sick of it! After classes are completed it is time to work my way over to the Arc for my 1-1 ½ hour workout to get the muscles pumping and the heart rate up!

I use an app called FitBod to program my workouts everyday because I am awful at trying to incorporate new exercises into my routine on my own.Workout is finished, so now I walk back to my building to shower, eat lunch, and put-on some comfy clothes to be able to relax in while I begin my homework for the day!Writing in my planner is one of my favorite things to do everyday just because it keeps me on track for my homework, exams, and quizzes that are coming up (plus I like how pretty I make it look hehe)!Depending on when I finish my homework, I’ll make my way to Boozel to grab dinner with some friends, then just finish my night by watching some Dance Moms and doing my nightly skin care before grabbing some z’s.
