Welcome to CDR

Welcome to CDR, and welcome back fashionistas!

It’s the start of the school year, which means new clubs and new friends. Here at College Dress Relief you’ll meet new people, gain great design and blogging experience, and learn new skills.

CDR is a new student advocacy group that focuses on current fashion trends, sustainability, diversity, and professional development. What does CDR do? We feature SRU students and their personal style. CDR is all about you, the students, and your fashion! We also blog about fashion trends, nonprofit organizations, and sustainability - which is a great way to start a portfolio with your work. Last but certainly not least, CDR is a great opportunity to learn design and photography, as we design flyers for social media events, clothing drives, and even real-world clients.

If you want to learn more about CDR, come to our weekly meetings on Mondays at 4 PM in Eisenberg room 201!

CDR can’t wait to meet you, but for now, let’s introduce our E-Board!

Major: Integrated Marketing Communications

Why did you join CDR: I joined CDR because I’m very interested in fashion and beauty. I hope to someday work in one of these industries as a media planner or a social media manager for a larger company. I thought CDR would be a great way to gain valuable experience, build my resume, and meet people who have interests similar to mine.

Fashion Inspiration: I get my fashion inspiration from YouTubers such as Franceska Garza, Javi, and actress Zendaya Coleman.

Ryan Shimko

Why did you join CDR: I joined CDR because it was the first thing that really focused on something I truly value: fashion. It really put me in a perspective where I feel great being part of the group and writing about the things I love to wear.

Fashion Inspiration: Streetwear, Kanye West, Asap Rocky, and mostly random Instagram pages.
